I just popped a new Pink CD in the player and sat down to write out my book review for the week. But I'm just not in the mood.
The CD on the other hand, is pretty decent. I've been sitting here thinking some of the songs would be fun to ride to. Thus today's topic - anybody out there ride to music? I'm not talking about choreographed freestyles in dressage or reining, although that's fine, too - but I'm talking about just cranking the stereo or the car radio and running through a set of transitions or whatever.
If you do ride to music, do you share with your horse, or do you keep the tunes to yourself with earphones? I've been contemplating an I-Pod, but I don't think I'd want both ears busy though....
Pros? Cons? What's your favorite piece, artist, or group? Who has the best beat? Anybody's horse ride better with music? Or dislike anything? Sunny, for example, gets cranky when I sing while I'm riding - of course, that just proves he has good taste - LOL!

When we haul to the arena, I almost always leave the stereo on in the pickup and crank the tunes. The new Kid Rock CD is definitely one of my favorites to ride too. Even my mom likes most of the song on it.;)
I don't ride to music. My music player (not an IPOD, just an MP3 player) would work for that, but, I haven't tried it. I just like hearing the sounds of my horse and riding.
I have ridden in arenas where there has been music playing on a stereo and that is okay...if it's music I like. ;)
I've ridden to music before, mostly just a poplar radio station or Alanis Morcett...course it was just the boom box and didn't carry very well.
I used to love to show dressage and even though I wasn't doing a musical freestyle to "my" music the show always had classical music playing in the background. I remember when Titanic was hugely poplar and they were playing their soundtrack as I rode/ and warmed up it was just perfect!
When Less lived in my parents backyard I was always begging my mom to video me and so she got to where she would do it from the kitchen window and while she did she always had a nice CD playing in the background- even though I could't hear it it was nice to watch it back with the music.
I'm sure you don't sing that bad either;-)
